Viva Las Vegas! Success for Touchize at the world’s largest food trade show.
GroceryShop, with over 2,200 participants, is the world’s largest exhibition for food retailers. It’s a unique mixture of e-commerce companies, physical commerce businesses, and investors.
Among the participants were several well-known companies, such as Alibaba, Amazon, eBay, Facebook, Google, Pinterest, Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg, Levi Strauss & Co., Macy’s, Mars Wrigley, Marvel Entertainment, Nike, Philips, Pizza Hut, The Walt Disney Company, and Unilever, to name a few. The biggest focus during the three-day conference was on mobile e-commerce solutions, a fact that was reflected in the various interesting lectures. One of these lectures was given by Nina Barton, the President of Global Growth for the Kraft Heinz company’s digital efforts. She pointed out that the most important thing for today’s consumers is to save time: “35% of consumers rank saving time as being more important than saving money; when it comes to online customers, up to 70% say that ease-of-use and saving time are the most important features”. Tom Ward, senior Vice President of Digital Operations at Walmart, stated that the key factors for success in the digital era are principles that centre around speed and simplicity for the end-customer. It is crucial, he noted, to develop these features in order to grow and increase a company’s market share in digital commerce.
Specially invited was one of the conference’s hand-picked lecturers, Touchize CEO Jesper Deleuran. Deleuran talked about how valuable Touchize Commerce is for mobile e-commerce:
“Being able to increase conversion by 125% while reducing the ‘bounce rates’ with more than 50% are simply amazing numbers and the keys to increasing profitability — and it’s all possible with Touchize Commerce”. Deleuran concluded the GroceryShop 2018 conference with these words: “Meeting the American public and all of these investors has been a great experience for Touchize, one that has only reinforced for us the fact that our decision to establish ourselves within the US market was absolutely the correct one.”
GroceryShop 2018 was held on October 28–31 at the luxurious Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, one of the world’s largest hotels with over 4,000 rooms and more than 14,000 square feet of space. Grocery Shop 2018 was a huge success, the premier showing for the exhibition. Next year’s conference already expects twice as many participants, from over 2,200 to about 4,500 people.

In late September, Touchize also participated in the Presta Shop Day Milano, where CEO Jesper Deleuran participated in the committee that voted on the trade fair’s most interesting and innovative idea.
